Bad weather got you down? Check out this collection of indoor activities for kids! Whether you’re cooped up with your toddler or preschooler on a wet rainy summer day, or need ideas to keep your little ones occupied when school’s out and they’re threatening to climb the walls, there are heaps of DIY crafts, games, obstacle courses, and scavenger hunts to take the blah out of being stuck at home. Here are 25 of our favorites!

I don’t know about you, but I’m a big fan of summer.

I love spending afternoons at the park with my 3-year-old.

I love blowing bubbles on our terrace after dinner.

I love wearing maxi dresses and flip flops.

I love weekend trips to the beach.

And I love the sound of our local ice cream truck on hot, lazy afternoons.

But I do not love the sound of rain pitter-pattering on our windows between the months of June and September. It just seems so…unfair…after enduring month after month of snow, sleet, freezing rain, colds, and flus, you know?

The good news?

I’ve found some great kids activities books to help me out when my daughter and I are climbing the walls (my faves are 101 Kids Activities That Are the Bestest, Funnest Ever! The 101 Coolest Simple Science Experiments, and 150+ Screen-Free Activities for Kids), and I recently discovered HEAPS of indoor activities on Pinterest.
